So after the crazy year we had last year, one can only say that this year has got to be better! And I am so with you on that one! That being said, I would also like to say I am so sorry for all the losses that were also endured last year. My heart goes out to each and every one of you for whatever your challenges were. I know I have had my own hurdles to jump and let me tell you it was EXHAUSTING!
But as we say every year…. and I quote “this one is going to be better!” Oh wait and my favorite… “I really mean it this year! I’m gonna do it!” Yep that’s my life right there. So this year, I have decided to do something a little different. I wanted to set goals for myself instead of resolutions. Resolutions are the easiest thing in the world to get yourself out of guilt- free. Goals are different in our way of thinking. They basically mean the same thing just worded differently. A goal is more complicated. You sit. You make a plan. One you know you can achieve. There is a process to it.
So. here I am sitting trying to think to myself … what do I really want this year? I never realized how hard of a question that is. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that if you asked them they would know but for me I have a pretty happy life, a loving and supportive family, and I have a very busy lifestyle. I didn’t know where to start.
I am a pen and paper kind of girl. So I listed what was important to me in my life right now. Mine reads as follows.
- Family
- Financial
- Relationships
- Health
- Weight
- Organization
- Blog
Next, I put how I can improve upon the things that I already feel like I have a pretty good hold on. For example, next to family I wrote: Spend more time with mom. Do more things with my daughter and my son. My life is very busy all the time and I take for granted the time that I think I have. But as I get older the time seems to fly by faster. I live around the corner from my mom and if I don’t make time to see her, then I would only see her on holidays. I don’t want to be one of those kids!
As for the things that are new to me and my life…. one would be this Blog and two would be the organization. I can organize everyone else’s life just not my own. Not sure how that happened but yeah this year is my turn. The blog… well just say, I hope that you all will hang around while I go through my learning curve!
Come on give it a try! Give yourself some goals this year! I know that you will do awesome at them! I have faith in you!
Let me know how it goes. And don’t worry, I will let you know how it all unfolds for me! Good Luck this year!
